Spawning Rares
Scattered across the world of Eren are collectable rare items — decorative treasures that appear at fixed, hidden spots and can be picked up by whoever finds them first. Each spot holds exactly one rare at a time; once someone grabs it, a respawn timer starts and the same item will eventually appear at the same place again. Rares are the shard's decoration and collector economy: the rarer the tier, the longer the wait between spawns and the more the item is worth.
This page covers the spawn system. Rares also come from monster loot, champion spawns, events, achievements and gathering procs — see Rares for all six sources at a glance.
Rarity tiers
Spawned rares come in five tiers. The tier determines how often the item respawns after being picked up:
| Tier | Respawn interval | Items in the world |
|---|---|---|
| Quarter-Daily | every 6 hours | 26 |
| Daily | every 24 hours | 22 |
| Weekly | every 7 days | 22 |
| Monthly | every 30 days | 22 |
| Server Birth | never — one-time only | 20 |
Respawn times are not exact: every timer gets a random variance of ±20%, so a Daily rare can reappear anywhere between roughly 19 and 29 hours after the last one was taken, and a Monthly rare anywhere between roughly 24 and 36 days. You cannot camp a spot with a stopwatch and know the exact minute.
Every tier's rares sit at fixed locations — town buildings, dungeon rooms, camps, islands, and stranger places. The locations never move; finding them is the hunt. (No, this page will not list them.)
How finding works
- A spawned rare looks like an ordinary decoration lying in the world — it shows no special properties while it sits at its spawn spot, so a sharp eye for out-of-place items is your best tool.
- Rares waiting at their spawn spot never decay. They stay until someone picks them up.
- The moment you lift the item, you are registered as its finder: from then on the item displays its rarity label in a tier-specific color (Quarter-Daily, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Server Birth Rare).
- If the spot is blocked (something else is lying there), the rare simply waits and tries again — it is never lost.
- Collecting rares counts toward achievements.
Server birth rares
Server birth rares are the shard's ultimate collectables:
- Each one spawns exactly once in the server's lifetime and never again.
- They appear at a random point within a window of up to a week after the system starts, so their arrival cannot be predicted.
- When someone picks one up, the whole shard hears about it — a global broadcast announces the finder's name.
- The item permanently displays its finder's name and the date it was found, making provenance part of the item itself.
Tips for rare hunters
- Learn the respawn rhythm: Quarter-Daily spots are worth checking on every play session, Weekly and Monthly spots on a longer rotation.
- Look for decorations that feel slightly out of place — a lone item on a floor, a shelf, or in the wilderness where nothing else spawns.
- Because of the ±20% timer variance, being second to a spot does not mean you were late by a fixed schedule — keep spots in your rotation even after someone beats you to them.
- Found rares keep their rarity label forever, so they remain provably genuine when traded or displayed in your house.
