Stats
Your character is built on three stats — Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence. This page covers what each one does, their caps, and how they gain.
For skills, see Skills Overview.
Stat caps: 100 each, 225 total
Each stat is capped at 100 on its own, and all three together at 225 — so you cannot max all three. Choosing which two to favour is the core of a build.
Strength (Str)
- Your hit points equal your Strength.
- Adds bonus damage with weapons.
- Some weapons require a minimum Strength to wield.
- Increases your carrying capacity.
Dexterity (Dex)
- Your stamina equals your Dexterity.
- Increases your attack speed with weapons.
- Reduces the time needed to heal with bandages.
- Increases your chance to parry attacks.
Intelligence (Int)
- Your mana equals your Intelligence.
- Increases spell damage.
- Improves mana regeneration.
Stat gains
Whenever you use a skill that trains a stat, you have a chance for that stat to gain — you do not need a skill gain first. Every skill use rolls for a stat gain, as long as the stat's arrow in the skill window is set to raise (up).
Each stat has its own gain cooldown that grows as the stat gets higher:
| Stat value | Minimum time between gains |
|---|---|
| below 60 | 1 minute |
| 60 – 79 | 2 minutes |
| 80 – 84 | 3 minutes |
| 85 – 89 | 4 minutes |
| 90 – 94 | 5 minutes |
| 95 – 97 | 6 minutes |
| 98+ | 7 minutes |
Once your total reaches the 225 cap, further gains only happen through atrophy: set an unwanted stat's arrow to lower (down) and it will drop by one point when another stat gains.
