Public Moongates and Ghost Gates

Public moongates are the free fast-travel network of Eren. Step onto (or double-click) a glowing blue gate in any of the connected locations and pick your destination. Ghost Gates are their spectral cousin — a personal gate offered to you when you die.

Public Moongates

Standing on a moongate opens the destination gump:

Moongates connect these locations:

• Adena
• Coldstone (North Town)
• Moonvale (Capital)
• New Bucc's Den
• Volaria (East Town)
• Westwend (West Town)
• Duel Area

Travel is free, and your pets are teleported with you. Some restrictions apply:

• Criminals cannot use moongates ("Thou'rt a criminal and cannot escape so easily").
• You cannot gate away during combat or while casting a spell.
• After throwing an explosion potion you must wait 5 seconds.
• Young players cannot use the gate out of the newbie area until they leave young status.

Custom Moongate Location

Every moongate gump has an extra destination slot that starts locked:

The Custom Public Moongate Location is an account upgrade sold at the Vault of Eren Vendor (25 Eren Coins). Once unlocked:

• Each character can set their own custom destination.
• Set it from the moongate gump by targeting a marked recall rune in your backpack — the rune's destination becomes your custom location.
• You can change the location at any time by targeting a different rune.
• You cannot gate into a house area unless you are a co-owner of that house, and you cannot gate onto a spot where a magical gate already stands.

Ghost Gates

When you die, a personal Ghost Gate appears at your corpse a few seconds later. Only you can see it, and only as a ghost. It vanishes after 30 seconds, so decide quickly.

Double-click the gate to open its gump:

• The gate offers the same destinations as a public moongate — the fastest way back to a healer in town.
• Using it costs a 500 gp toll, withdrawn directly from your bank account. If your bank cannot cover it, the gate won't take you.
• If your citizenship town holds the Free Ghost Gate Use town bonus, the toll is waived for the week.
• If you unlocked the custom moongate location, it is available in your Ghost Gates too.
• Young players use Ghost Gates for free, but are always brought to the healer in Adena.
