Town Bonuses

Each week, every citizenship town receives a set of bonuses that benefit all of its citizens — you get them simply for being a citizen, with nothing to claim or activate. The bonuses re-roll weekly. See Citizenship Overview for joining a town in the first place.

The weekly roll

Every town always gets these 5 base bonuses (the specific skill and region each applies to is rolled randomly):

  • Faster crafting skill gain (for one crafting skill, in one region)
  • Faster gathering skill gain (for one gathering skill, in one region)
  • More Skill Mastery XP (in one dungeon or overland)
  • Increased special loot chance (in one dungeon or overland)
  • Increased gold drops (in one dungeon or overland)

Towns that won the previous week's PvP, Exports or Influence competition earn +1 extra bonus each, up to 8 bonuses in total. You can review the weekly standings in the citizen info gump:

Extra bonuses are drawn from a wider pool: vendor discounts, faster vendor restock, extra quest slots, more quest reward points, exceptional-craft chance, gathering yield, free Ghost Gate use, and a Luck bonus.

Bonus strength and voting

Citizens of rank Resident and above vote weekly on four bonus categories (Craft, Town, Loot, Misc). The category with the most votes gets Epic (3×) potency, the runner-up Major (2×), and the rest Minor (1×). Elders and above get two votes.

Base values per potency level:

Bonus Type Effect per level
Vendor Discount 5% discount
Vendor Restock Rate 20% faster restock
Quest Reward Points 20% more points
Mastery XP Gain 5% more XP
Crafting Skill Gain 10% faster skill gain
Exceptional Item Chance 10% increase
Gathering Skill Gain 10% faster skill gain
Resource Yield 10% more yield
Special Loot Chance 5% increased chance
Gold Drop 5% more gold
Luck Bonus 10% increase

Example: if the Misc category wins the vote (Epic) and the Luck bonus is rolled, the town gets 3 × 10% = 30% more luck for the week.

Vote at your town registrar — it costs nothing and the registrar also displays the bonuses currently in force.
